Where in the World is Trova?
(NEW YORK) Hanuk Kim—you know him as the camera-wielding Hanuk Hanuk—is a ubiquitous figure on the fashion party circuit, but Trova? Not so familiar, unless you’re already a CFDA winner. Allow us to explain. The impossibly chic statue given to CFDA winners is known as the Trova (or the Silent Silver Siren, affectionately), and recently Hanuk’s been taking her to all the fêtes she can handle, photographing her all the while. Think a chicer version of the traveling gnome—or like George Clooney’s sister and brother-in-law’s cardboard cutout in Up in the Air. Donna Karan and Stefano Tonchi, Mickey Boardman and Kim Hastreiter, Karlie Kloss, Cecelia Dean, and Hamish Bowles are just a few of the chicsters that enjoy face time with the statue. Where will Trova be spotted next? Even we can’t tell you that, darlings…but enjoy the ride over at the CFDA’s facebook page.
