Where in the World: EIC Edition
(NEW YORK) Where in the world have fashion's esteemed EICs been this week? Not in New York, so it seems. Stefano Tonchi has been basking in his new title as W hosts a worldwide series of cocktail parties. On Tuesday, Tonchi was in Milan, feteing the likes of Giambattista Valli and Stefano Gabbana at the Bulgari Hotel during an intimate outdoor gathering. Next up? Paris, where Tonchi hosted yet another celebratory cocktail, this time at the Hotel D’Evreux. Suzy Menkes was there to toast her longtime bestie---alongside Antoine Arnault and Alber Elbaz, of course.
Across the pond in London, Anna Wintour attended the launch party for the opening of Topshop’s Knighstbridge store on Monday, where Kate Moss, of course, also made a cameo. Wintour perused the offerings alongside Sir Philip Green before leaving avec two enormous gift bags. On the Cannes front, Ingrid Sischy and Sandy Brant stopped by the Vanity Fair and Gucci party Saturday night honoring Martin Scorsese. The duo chatted with Frida Giannini and Marina Cicogna during the party at Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc...
...And festivities at Du Cap raged on when Carine Roitfeld attended amFAR’s Cinema Against AIDS 2010 benefit gala today, where she caught up with Tom Ford and Kenneth Cole. Just a day earlier, the editrix boarded Giorgio Armani’s boat for the Fair Game cocktail party, also in Cannes. Expect an appearance by Aliona Doletskaya at the Chopard table at amFar, as they invite her to sit at their table every year.
Thankfully, New York isn't bereft of all editors. Glenda Bailey was at Chinatown's Jing Fong last night for the Creative Time Annual Benefit, honoring Andrea and Marc Glimcher.
