(NEW YORK) Cult favorite denim line J Brand is no stranger to collaborations, recently partnering with Proenza Schouler on a pair of hand-painted jeans for its Fall 2010 collection. But now, the brand is looking to London. 5 x 5, a collaboration with five British designers, launches today; Peter Pilotto, Richard Nicoll, Christopher Kane, Meadham Kirchhoff, and Erdem have all created a unique pair of J Brand jeans (see gallery for each individual pair) that will retail abroad at Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Browns, Selfridges, and Liberty and in the United States at Jeffrey boutique and Intermix online.
“Working with all five designers on 5 x 5 was a very rewarding experience for us,” said J Brand CEO and founder Jeff Rudes. “Each designer had a unique interpretation of J Brand that continues to expand the breadth of our brand. Our mission is to be a fashion leader that is making a difference; the project will help support future young designers through the Centre for Fashion Enterprise, the London organization that provides business guidance and mentoring for emerging fashion design talent.” All five styles will be available September 10. We suggest shopping quickly!
