(NEW YORK) Expect anxious W staffers to have raided the sample closet; Tonchi is scheduled to meet with le tout McCarthy crew at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning. Nobody knows—yet—what staffing havoc the consummate gent might inflict, but for the moment (and at The Moment), it’s one thing at a time.

Tonchi’s intention is to “observe” the staff as they finish the June issue and then oversee the July book. Expect a full redesign to debut in September. Meanwhile, architects and contractors will be visiting current W staffers to assess their cubicle and closet needs—when applicable—at their new office space at 1166 Avenue of the Americas.

One thing is sure—W’s relationship with WWD will now be “exactly like that of all the other Condé magazines,” according to several Fairchildren. And don’t forget how that will affect the business side of both pubs, WWD included. (If you’re angling for lunch with Gina Sanders, hold off ‘til May.) Expect more moves in that realm. In fact, Bridget Foley has already moved over to the WWD side, taking the Eye team and a few assorted writers with her. Et ça commence.
