(NEW YORK) Valentino is revamping their PR posse, with the addition of Rory Hermelee as VP of communications. Hermelee joins Valentino, starting today, from her former post as director of communications for North and Latin America at Bulgari. "I'm thrilled to be working with a remarkably talented team at such an iconic fashion brand as Valentino," Hermelee told the Daily. Hermelee's predecessor, Grace Cha, decamped from Valentino to become VP of global communications at Diane von Furstenberg in September.
Prior to her five years spent at Bulgari, Hermelee was director of special events at Hermès from September 2003 until December 2006. Hermelee's stint at Hermès was preceded by two years as special events manager at Escada. In her new capacity at Valentino, Hermelee will helm all PR, marketing, and event endeavors for the brand. Hermelee's communications coterie at her new job includes YSL alum Colleen Kennedy, Valentino's events and marketing manager.
