Update! Carol Smith Will Move Into 4 Times Square Later This Month

(NEW YORK) It’s been a spring to remember in the publishing world. We’ve just learned that Carol Smith will join Condé Nast in the end of this month (most likely on April 26), exactly two weeks after Stefano Tonchi takes on his new W editorship. She will be reporting to Tom Florio, as VP and publishing director of Bon Appétit and Gourmet brands. Paul Jowdy (previously vice president and publisher of Bon Appétit) will now report to Smith in the newly created title of executive director of sales. “Carol Smith will oversee business developments for the brands that will in include TV, books, and online opportunities,” said a corporate spokeswoman for the company.
