Things to Discuss: Aerin Lauder's New Lifestyle Brand
(NEW YORK) We should have seen this one coming. Today, Page Six reported that Aerin Lauder, 40, is launching her own fashion and lifestyle brand under the tutelage of Anna Wintour and NBC Universal head Jeff Zucker. "Aerin wants to be the next Tory Burch," if not bigger, a source told the paper. The brand is said to include fashion, accessories, housewares, china, and jewelry, which will be inspired by pieces from the private collection of Lauder's grandmother, Estée Lauder. According to sources, this project means that Lauder, the third-largest shareholder at her family's company, will relinquish her title of SVP and creative director, and take a consulting role at the beauty giant.
