(New York) Roopal Patel has founded her own conulting agency after leaving her post at e-tailer, Moda Operandi, last spring. Prior to her position there as executive fashion director, Patel's m.o. involved fashion curating for Bergdorf Goodman as the senior fashion director and for senior accessories market editor at Neiman Marcus. And before that? Patel was instrumental in creating content for the early stages of what is now an industry behemoth, Style.com.

With a CV like that, it's no wonder Patel has decided to step out on her own. Clients like J.C. Penney, W Hotel/CFDA Incubator, Joor, and VMT by Veronica Toub have already come knocking and with this roster under her belt it would appear business is booming. Her passion project is to put her retail and digital backgrounds to use to help up-and-coming designers find a platform in the age of digital and fast fashion. Interested in making connections between new technological advances and the fashion industry, we imagine she may have a few trips to Silicon Valley in her future.
