Riccardo Tisci Signs On For Three More Years at Givenchy
(NEW YORK) Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci has extended his contract with the French luxury house, according to WWD. The Italian designer has signed on for the next three years, and the timing couldn't be better. LVMH, the luxury parent of 30 brands including Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Pucci, and Bulgari, posted a 12 percent boost in net profits in 2012, ringing in the new year at $4.4 billion.
Tisci has helmed Givenchy since 2005, overseeing womenswear, menswear, accessories, and haute couture. In March 2012, former Prada exec Sebastian Suhl jumped ship to become the company's new CEO. His plans for 2013? International expansion. Looks like Givenchy is gearing up for a golden year.
