Resort 2014: DKNY
(NEW YORK) DKNY
For the latest Resort circuit, DKNY showed a mix of sporty and sweet, with a bit of edgy glam and a touch of the pervasive menswear-as-womenswear theme. The look that captured this perfect downtown blend? A black miniskirt overlaid with a floor-length sheer lace skirt, paired with a logoed sport jersey, black button up with an embroidered collar, all of which was topped off with a black blazer with leather lapels. A melange of layers! Metallic pieces in shimmery gold and silver added the glam element. See: a gold sequin pencil skirt paired with an equally gilded leather sport jacket, topped off with a black baseball cap. A standout metallic number, an asymmetrical silver moto trench, is likely to be this collection's must-have. Otherwise, the sporty theme ran throughout, with grey and black sweatpants dressed up with a sheer black and white silk chiffon button down and pointy pumps, or a flirty, flouncy black skirt and heels that were paired with a B&W sweatshirt and baseball cap. In other words, it was seductively spunky and playful. Is it us or can you see Cara Delevingne wearing this entire collection?
