Rag & Bone’s Grueling Fashion Week Itinerary

(NEW YORK) If you think your September 10 will be busy, no complaints allowed---Rag & Bone’s Marcus Wainwright and David Neville surely have you beat. The duo is presenting two collections on the same day (women’s collection at 11 a.m., men’s collection at 5 p.m.) and then will host a big Fashion's Night Out block party, right after stopping by Barneys. “When we initially decided to split the men’s and women’s collections into two separate shows, it made sense to have them on the same day,” said the designers of their two efforts at Meatpacking district. “That way, we can work with the same venue set-up, which saves us a lot of time, energy and money.  There’ll definitely be a lot of action, but we usually manage to stay calm and enjoy the day---it’s a lot of fun.”

And what will their FNO strategy be following the conclusion of their hectic runway day? “Right after our men’s show wraps, we’ll start the FNO celebration with a stop at Barneys, then head over to our own event on Mercer," added the designers. “We are partnering with 3.1 Phillip Lim for a mini block party. There will be food trucks from BLT Burger and Van Leeuwen ice cream serving complimentary treats and a DJ playing music outside. We’re having beauty makeovers with Revlon creative director Gucci Westman (who’ll also work on both shows). And then we hope not to be too exhausted for the after party!”
