Penelope and Monica Cruz's Next Project: Agent Provocateur Designers!
(NEW YORK) The Cruz sisters—Penelope and Monica—first dabbled in fashion in 2007, via a Mango capsule collection; now, they're teaming up again to produce a diffusion line for Agent Provocateur. The line will feature 15 styles, each of which will have seven or eight sub-pieces with an average price tag of $64. According to Telegraph UK, despite the low price-point, the brand's chief executive Garry Hogarth "hopes the new line will generate 50 percent of the company's revenue." The luxe lingerie collaboration, produced under the name L'Agent, will go on sale August 1 next year, kicking off a five-year contracted partnership.
Why the pairing of the hot sister act and haute underpinnings? Penelope Cruz's younger sister, Monica, began a relationship with Agent Provocateur when she was cast as the face of the brand's autumn/winter '12-13 ad campaign; AP's creative director, Sarah Shotton, has always considered Penelope to be a brand muse.
