Paris Spring 2013: Gareth Pugh
FirstView View Gallery
(PARIS) Gareth Pugh
Welcome to Gareth Pugh's gender-bender where the only rule is there are no rules. First up? A sleeveless noir gown crowned with a two-foot mourner's veil. High-backed leather suiting followed with corsets, exaggerated bell bottoms on sleeves and trousers, and a sweeping cape for good measure. What next? Voluminous, silver Renaissance gowns, fringed frocks, and ruffled shirting inspired by "Latin American cockfighting"---all of which were deftly fused into a cohesive lineup. Now that's impressive.
