Paris Couture: Alexis Mabille
(PARIS) Yesterday marked the first couture collection for Alexis Mabille as an inductee to the elite Chambre Syndicale. On a cotton candy runway, Mabille showed a membership-worthy collection that made its entrée with two radzimir cigarette pant looks with lace accented toppers in pink and peach. Soft femmed-up frocks followed, like a tiered white skirt with varying layers of tulle and cream organza paired with a white blazer. Or a nude off-the-shoulder cocktail dress, ruffled at the top with lacy joie. The designer's signature bows were also present, whether resting just so on a shoulder or subtly nipping in a waist. However, the saccharine collection was not without some sultry moments—a sensational noir smoking gown with a dare-to-bare slit was stunning. No doubt front-row attendee, burlesque beauty Dita Von Teese, has already placed her order.
