(NEW YORK) “Whenever you get a call from Rose Marie Bravo, it’s always good news!” laughed Glenda Bailey of learning she would receive a Phoenix House Fashion honor. Last night at the Grand Hyatt’s Empire Ballroom, Bailey, Saks’ Ron Frasch, and designer Josie Natori were recognized by the organization at the annual Phoenix House Fashion Awards dinner, co-chaired by the illustrious Bravo, along with Tina Brown, Andrew Rosen, and more. “It was incredibly moving to go and visit Phoenix House and to meet everyone that’s involved,” said the Bazaar editor. “It was such a special experience and one that I’ll never forget.”

A major designer contingent was in attendance to show their love for the trio of honorees, including Francisco Costa, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam and a particularly hungry Vera Wang. “I’m here to support my dear friends Josie Natori, Ron Frasch and Glenda Bailey—but not in any particular order!” she said. “It’s a perfect trifecta of people that are passionate about fashion. But now I’m ready for dinner!”

For Prabal Gurung, who arrived avec Joseph Altuzarra, the Saks honcho was the main draw. “He’s been really supportive,” Gurung said of Frasch. “It’s my flagship store in New York. I used to see clothes from my previous jobs there, and now to see my clothes there—it’s pretty surreal!”

It was full circle for Bailey and Alber Elbaz: after Bailey presented the Lanvin designer with his ACE award the previous night, Alber did the honors for Bailey. “I love her work, her persona, her loyalty, her love, her friendship. Glenda is always there for you,” he said. (Of course, Bailey returned the sentiment: “He’s got a beautiful mind,” she said.) But after a Halloween party, an awards ceremony, a newly-shot ad campaign, and the unveiling of him upcoming H&M line, Elbaz was just ready to relax. “It has been a wonderful week,” he said. “I did some work here, so now is time for some pleasure.”
