New York Fall 2011: Jenny Packham, Ohnel Titel

(NEW YORK) Jenny Packham
She dresses Bond girls and Hollywood celebrities alike, so you know there must be an element of sex appeal to her clothes. Jenny Packham's collection was all glamour and evening attire, and it was not for the wallflower. Most of the silhouettes were long, lean gowns, legging pants, and sassy cocktail dresses in nude and charcoal colors. Delicate halter necklines took plunging dips front and back, creating dramatic sex appeal. The beading and embroidery was so fine it looked like spider webs glistening with dew. Though its functionally hard to wear intricate beading on pants, leggings shimmered with a textured moth scale pattern. A show stopping nude chiffon dress had an antiqued glass bead chevron pattern that would flatter anyone’s derriere. Drawing from moths for inspiration, this collection is certainly for creatures of the night.
To infinity and beyond! The Ohne Titel girls were inspired by Apollo missions and space exploration this season. The collection was most certainly suitable for SoHo by night. Lush red, gray, and lunar white were injected with shots of metallic silver. Looped knit gray dresses looked fierce, even though they’re undoubtedly soft and cozy. Warm and wooly was also found in the form of grey shearling zip coats and enormous hoodies. The black rib knit pants will be the most comfortable and stylish leggings you’ll find for fall. For the most part, the otherworldly collection will be completely wearable on here on Earth.
