(MILAN) C'N'C Costume National
Ennio Capasa chose the road less traveled this season, as was evident in his darkly minimalistic collection with only a hint of print. It is, after all, where he feels most comfortable. A moody cocktail of olive, black, and white was framed with asymmetrical dresses and vests, sheer button-ups, little leather shorties, and skinny trousers accented with leather patches at the knee. The effect? A slightly militaristic, mostly wearable collection.

Blumarine
Once in a blue moon, creative director Anna Molinari skips out on her familiar saucy prints and rock-chic accouterments for a much-needed palette cleaner of a collection. And, you guessed it, that's exactly what emerged on her runway today. Gone were the flashes of sequins and edgy studs. Instead, models emerged in a refreshing mix of delicate, filmy frocks, silky cutaway trousers, and ruffled skirts in ice cream shades of pink, purple, icy blue, and seafoam green against black, copper, and white.
