(NEW YORK) Ever wish you could bottle Marchesa's red carpet glam? You're in luck! Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have concocted their first fragrance, Parfume d'Extase, with the help of Firmenich’s master perfumer Annie Buzantian

The olfactive creation, which translates in English to The Scent of Ecstacy, boasts top notes of iris, freesia, and violet leaves and essences of jasmine, iris root, ambrox, and musk. The mixture gleans inspiration from Marchesa's ornate archive, glinting with the company's trademark crystals. Malin Ericson of Vanessa Stevens + Company designed the quartz crystal-style bottle, executed with a bow-shaped crystal topper and a hand-set cascading crystal ribbon. The new scent will be available in two eau de parfum sizes, 30 ml. for $60 and 50 ml. for $85, or in a rollerball form for $25; it will be sold exclusively at 320 U.S. Sephora boutiques and 370 Sephora beauty counters within J.C. Penney locations in September, and on Sephora.com beginning August 24. Projected retail sales for the first year are estimated at $1.5 million.
