Lara and Her Calvins
(NEW YORK) The rumors are true: Lara Stone has been confirmed as the Fall 2010 face of Calvin Klein, from Collection to Jeans to ck, replacing the likes of Eva Mendes and Monika "Jac" Jagaciak. The global print ad campaign for Calvin Klein Collection features a solo Stone shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot in Los Angeles, while ck Calvin Klein’s campaign was shot by Fabien Baron in an old San Pedro, California factory and shows Stone alongside Abbey Lee Kershaw, Christopher Michaut, Oleg Antosik, and Chinese model Yin. The Calvin Klein Jeans campaign was also shot by Mert and Marcus in L.A.; this time, Stone shares the spotlight with a slew of male models including A.J., Sid Ellisdon, Grayson Vaughan, and Eric Anderson. The campaign, which will appear globally both print and outdoor, debuts the brand’s newest offering, Calvin Klein Jeans X, a slim-silhouette jean.
Stone, who recently served as the face of Louis Vuitton for Spring 2010, has also appeared in campaigns for Eres, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Hugo Boss Orange, Just Cavalli, and more. She’s no stranger to Calvin, however: after walking as an exclusive in the Collection show for Spring 2007, she appeared in Calvin Klein Jeans ad campaigns, and in 2008 she booked a ck Calvin Klein beauty campaign.
