(NEW YORK) The next top dog at Interview has been revealed: Keith Pollock is decamping from DuJour to become editor-in-chief of Interview. For the past two years, Pollack has co-helmed the Jason Binn-backed mag along with Nicole Vecchiarelli, who will remain at DuJour as its sole EIC. From 2009 to 2012, Pollock was at ELLE, heading up the mag's digital presence as online editorial director. Before that, Pollock was actually at Interview's parent company, Brant Publications, serving as the the petite publishing house's executive digital editor, a job which entailed working extensively with Interview.
Pollock's predecessor, Stephen Mooallem, left Interview in December to become executive editor at Harper's Bazaar, following Kimberly Cutter's yearlong stint in the capacity. Prior to Cutter's arrival, Kristina O'Neill held the exec editor role; she left in 2012 to become run WSJ. O'Neill was at Bazaar for a dozen years before parting ways with the Hearst glossy.
In his new position, Pollock will report directly to Interview's editorial director, Fabien Baron, and the title's creative director, Karl Templer. Expect to see Pollock's imprint on the magazine in its April issue.
