KCD Rolls Out CFDA Incubator Digital Showcase
(NEW YORK) Ten designers from the CFDA Fashion Incubator class of 2014 are receiving yet another reward from the industry. KCD will be debuting each designer's collection on DigitalFashionShows.com this season during NYFW. The platform will allow these 10 emerging designers more visibility to editors, retailers, and consumers. The class of 2014 includes: Ari Dein, Burkman Bros., Daniel Vosovic, Emanuela Duca, Isaora, Jonathan Simkhai, NUMBER: Lab, Reece Hudson, Timo Weiland, and Whit.
The shows will be filmed by David Boatman of Boatman Media in the Incubator studios in a two-minute video that will be available for direct embedding and downloading from the site. "One of the biggest challenges we heard from the Incubator participants is getting press and retailers to attend presentations and visit showrooms," said Ed Filipowski in a statement. "We wanted to find a way for the industry to support the graduates in the easiest possibly way digitally." The CFDA Incubator has taken it one step further by hosting an open house for press on Thursday, February 13th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. so that press and retailers can check out the collections in person. Stay tuned for these emerging designers new collections when they debut at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 11th.
