(NEW YORK) It's a big day for jcpenney—the retailer has announced an exciting new collaboration with Nigerian-born, London-based designer Duro Olowu. The seasonal capsule collection, which will include clothing, accessories, and home items, will be entitled Duro Olowu for jcp. Priced between $10 and $100, it will be available starting in March 2013 at most of the 1,100 jcpenney stores nationwide and jcpenney.com.
“I am proud to partner with jcpenney to create and launch this new seasonal collection," said Olowu in a statement. "Working with jcpenney has allowed me to merge my vision of style and quality with their affordability, resulting in a line that is stylish, beautifully made and accessible. It has been an exciting experience to bring this fashion and home collection to life.”
As a celebrated print master, Olowu is known for his bold patterns, hues, and textures, offering modern pieces easily integrated into wardrobes. While a well-kown womenswear designer since Spring/Summer 2005, this will be the first limited-edition ready-to-wear, accessories and home capsule collection for the designer.
