Happy One Million! Michael Kors Celebrates Facebook Milestone

(NEW YORK) You know it's official when it's on Facebook. Earlier today Michael Kors announced a major company milestone: one million Facebook followers! Kors and the gang are celebrating with a newly-launched timeline dubbed "Michael's Milestones," documenting the brand's 31-year history with some tantalizing tidbits from Kors' personal life. One such gem? A snapshot of the designer as a child model in a Lucky Charm's commercial circa 1964. Additionally, Kors enthusiasts can take a walk through Kors' history, through his Facebook page, in this just-released video, which highlight's the brand's success in a montage of memorable moments.
“What a great way to celebrate our one-million-fan landmark,” said Kors in a press release. “It’s wonderful to look back on more than 30 years with this fabulous community of fans.”
Since joining the online social network in June 2009, Michael Kors has witnessed his digital fan base grow exponentially. This month alone, Kors' Facebook page saw 50,000 post "likes" and has doubled in size in the past six months—no doubt in part to the company's entre into the IPO game in December.
