Balenciaga’s Nicholas Ghesquière will take the evening’s Superstar award at the “Globalists”-themed event at Cipriani Wall Street. “Nicolas Ghesquière defines the word ‘superstar,’” said Margaret Hayes, president of the FGI. “Said to be one of the most intriguing and original designers of his generation, he has reinvented the House of Balenciaga and endowed its legacy with a cool, modern edge.” The 27th annual gala will be hosted again by Simon Doonan.
