From The Daily Dan: Catching Up With Cover Girl Kate Upton
What a long, intriguing summer it’s been. Good thing Daily Dan has been here every week to walk you through this labyrinth of dish. Kate Upton wrap ups the season, as we say goodbye to the Hamptons. Until next summer...
How has your summer been? A lot of fun! I’ve spent most of it in my hometown of St. Joseph, Michigan. My sister got married at the end of July, and I was her maid of honor, so I dedicated a lot of time to that. It was a big event—about 200 people!
What did you plan for the bachelorette party? We went to Tulum. Very relaxing!
What was the reaction to your GQ cover? It’s such a great magazine to work for, and Terry [Richardson] is such a good photographer. I knew the pictures would turn out well.
How has life changed since you’ve been on the cover? I haven’t really been back into work mode, yet, because I’ve just been spending time with my family.
Have you been doing a lot of riding? Yes! I’ve spent a lot of the summer with my horse, Robbie.
What was your favorite song of summer? “Lights” by Ellie Goulding; I listen to it every morning. It helps me wake up!
Favorite movie? I haven’t seen any of the new ones, because I’ve spent most of the summer outdoors!
Sounds like you got to take a bit of a break! Yes, and it was so much fun. I love going back and seeing my family—I’m only 20 years old! But I’ll be back in the city soon, and going back to work
