Follow the Brazilians

(NEW YORK) In case you don’t know, it’s currently wintertime in São Paulo. So the Brazilians in Gotham are taking advantage of the summer rays by hosting more rooftop and outdoor parties than even the most ambitious socials can attend. Lorenzo Martone and Melissa started the trend a few weeks ago. Carlos Miele grabbed the baton earlier this week, and Alessandra Ambrosio hosted her own Follow the Sun pool bash last night. Ironically, the Thompson LES’ pool was covered in shade for the duration of the bash, but that didn’t dampen the host’s spirits. “This is just about great friends, some dancing, drinks, and a great summer day,” announced Ambrosio to her guests.
And before we knew it, the Victoria’s Secret distinguished alumni board started trickling in. Doutzen Kroes sported BBQ garb, while Adriana Lima was sufficiently dressed up to attend a wedding. Ginta Lapina, Arlenis Sosa, and Amanda Setton were other familiar faces who enjoyed Moët et Chandon on the rocks and synchronized diving, courtesy of those male models who didn't make it to Paris. “I don’t think I’m dressed for that,” smiled Lima as she avoided the splashes.
