Cushnie et Ochs On Breakfast and Their Halloween Costume Designers
(NEW YORK) Not a morning person? Not applicable to the Cushnie et Ochs gals, at least today: the designers welcomed a posse of YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund scholars into their studio, bright-eyed and all at the early (for this industry, at least!) hour of 8 a.m. Your Daily delved into all matters of breakfast, interning, and a little too much LOL with Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs.

What are the top three things you wish you'd known as an intern?
1. Ask more questions. 2. Pay more attention behind the scenes. 3. Maintain relationships with everyone you meet!
Where do you wish you'd interned?
Carly Cushnie: At Halston, back in the day.
Michelle Ochs: Wall Street.
What's the wackiest task you've ever asked an intern to do?
To help us make our Halloween costumes.
What do you normally eat for breakfast?
CC: Yogurt and fruit.
MO: A bagel.
What's a typical breakfast scene like in the Cushnie et Ochs studio?
Well, the left over YMA breakfast was very much appreciated by everyone in the office today. Our usual breakfast is pretty basic in comparison.
Would you rather have breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast?
CC: Breakfast for dinner. I can't eat that heavy first thing in the morning!
MO: Depends on what was for dinner...?
What are your fave brunch spots in the city?
CC: Extra Virgin.
MO: 'Ino.
This breakfast was in honor of the latest YMA FSF crop...that's a lot of letters! What are your most-abused acronyms?
FYI and LOL!
