Cushnie et Ochs Discuss Their Playboy Foray
(NEW YORK) Cushnie et Ochs' next collab is in keeping with the brand's saucy aesthetic and involves some sinister-chic leather action, but their latest partner might surprise: Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are Playboy's first designer pair-up, in an effort to class up the venerable flesh-filled mag's image. The outcome of the guest designing effort: A bondage-y leather bralette that will run you $695, can be procured exclusively at PlayboyStore.com, and will be modeled by (who else?) a cadre of Playmates today at Miami's Delano Hotel, at a Playboy-hosted Art Basel event featuring a concert by A$AP Rocky. Chicifying of all things Playboy kicked off this summer, when the title brought on girl about town Jenne Lombardo and art consultant Neville Wakefield to image consult, as well as PR Consulting to drive The Daily caught up with Cushnie and Ochs for a bit more backstory on their newest endeavor. (Whip not included.)

What's the idea behind aligning with the, um, cheeky mag?
Partnering with Playboy presented an opportunity for us to channel Cushnie et Ochs' seductiveness and feminine aesthetic with Playboy's signature playful sensuality.
How did the collab come about?
Sexy met sexy!
Do you read Playboy regularly?
We've both read it in the past, but don't currently have a subscription.
How did you first stumble across an issue?
Seeing copies from older siblings or family members...
Where do you envision this bra being worn?
It's definitely a piece that can be worn as outerwear, under a jacket, or with fitted pencil skirt. It's a very sultry sophisticated look.
Does a Playboy bra have anything in common with that HTC One phone you worked on recently?
The HTC collaboration was very different to Playboy. Although both collaborations adhered to our clean-lined aesthetic, the body and technology [of each item] couldn't be more different. But they are both items that transcend seasons: they're pieces that you'll want to hold onto for a long time!
