(NEW YORK) On a stretch of Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood, celebration is in order, and it's all centered around Confederacy. First, the store's co-owner, Ilaria Urbinati, is getting married (in Texas) in a matter of weeks. Around the same time, the store is clearing out its storefront women's space to make way for Rebecca Minkoff, a close friend of Urbinati's who also happens to be opening up a shop-in-shop in the building. To make room, Confederacy is throwing a noteworthy sale—on Spring 2011 merch, to the tune of 40 to 60% off retail.

"Our men's is killing it," said Urbinati of her decision to phase out women's clothing and accessories and focus on the men's collections. This Thursday, ShopConfederacy.com will feature the heavily-discounted goods from likes of  Jenni Kayne, Boy and Girl by Band of Outsiders, Phillip Lim, Proenza Schouler, Shipley & Halmos, Steven Alan women's, and Bensoni, among others. The P.S. 1 bags are sold out, but there are plenty of Laura Urbinati swimsuits (get them before Coachella) up for grabs.  Minkoff's new boutique, which is slated to open later this Spring, will feature her men's and women's handbag collections, alongside shoes and ready-to-wear.
