Christensen Out at T…Is Tabitha Simmons In?
(NEW YORK) During this hasty and manic media switcheroo summer, perhaps everyone can agree that Anne Christensen did not get the better end of the stick throughout the season. She witnessed Stefano Tonchi’s move to W, lost the T editor-in-chief job to Sally Singer that most assumed was hers for weeks, and then was given a cold shoulder by the new management. And so the fashion director of the New York Times fashion glossy has decided to resign from her post to focus on her freelance styling gigs like Banana Republic and Vogue China, for which she’s currently shooting.
Meanwhile, we’re hearing that Tabitha Simmons is Sally Singer’s favorite to replace Christensen at T. A close friend of Singer’s for years, Vogue’s contributing editor has steadily styled for American, British, and Italian editions of Vogue over the last few years. Much like Christensen, Simmons also worked with plenty of corporate clients like Dolce & Gabbana and DKNY while also launching her successful shoe line. Simmons did not respond to our request for comment.
