CFDA Announces Tiffany & Co. Grant Winners
(NEW YORK) This morning, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund convened at the Fifth Avenue Tiffany Salon to award haute joailliers Monique Péan and Eddie Borgo the prestigious Tiffany & Co Grants, which are part of a three year partnership with the CVFF. The designers are no strangers to the elite coterie. In 2010, Borgo was a CVFF Runner-up while Péan was a 2009 Finalist. Committee members including Anna Wintour, Meredith Melling Burke, Steven Kolb, and Michael Kowalski (Chairman and CEO of Tiffany & Co.) presented the 2011 winners, who bested seven other finalists, with their respective takeaways. Péan accepted $150,000 and Borgo received $100,000 for their exceptional ability to develop their designs as independent entities.
