(NEW YORK) “Someone just said that this is how people in New York live,” quipped Anthony Keegan as he glanced around the very big and very posh Park Avenue pad of Vera Wang. “I don’t live like this. This is amazing!” Keegan was one the 29 new freshly-inducted CFDA members, and Wang generously opened her home last night to host the group along with Steven Kolb and Diane von Furstenberg, who said that a lot of younger members have been calling her “big momma” as of late. “I'm thrilled to have all these people in my living room," assured Wang. “We're the party givers tonight.”

Supporters like Tommy Hilfiger, Philip Crangi, and Tory Burch came to toast new constituents like Juan Carlos Obando, Monique Péan, and Robert Geller while admiring Wang’s wine bar and kitchen that would make Jean-Georges jealous.

“I keep trying to explain what the CFDA is to people who don't know, and it's like the Oscars without a ceremony,” exclaimed Rebecca Minkoff. “This is one of most important events in my life so far!” Lubov Azria agreed. “This feels like a birthday party with everyone congratulating you and hugging you,” she smiled. “I could get used to this.”

“I still haven't woken up from a fairy tale,” offered George Esquivel. “I'm on this emotional high!” Waris Ahluwalia had another way of looking at it. “I feel like I almost should put this on my passport as my fashion visa,” he smiled. “It's nice to make this baby official!”
