Bally Takes Basel
(NEW YORK) Bally is about to get a lot more Swiss. The fashion house has announced that it has begun a partnership with both Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach art shows, sponsoring the shows and collaborating on an ongoing design project, Bally Love.
Bally Love will be a capsule collection of products that will be created with the Bally design team (including brand-new creative directors and Aquascutum alums Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler) and a series of Swiss contemporary artists. The first edition of Bally Love will be helmed by Philippe Decrauzat, who specializes in optical geometric and abstract patterns. Decrauzat’s capsule collection will be presented at Art Basel in Switzerland in June. Bally fans eager to get their hands on the sure-to-be collectible pieces will have to wait until November, when the collection will be available in select Bally stores, which will feature Decrauzat-designed window installations at key flagships. Art Basel’s 41st edition will take place June 16-20, and Art Basel Miami Beach will storm SoBe from December 2-5, 2010.
