Balenciaga Returns to NYC; Debuts Seasonal Store
(NEW YORK) Balenciaga is getting into the holiday spirit with a seasonal store in SoHo. Your gift du joie? A 2,000-square-foot outpost at 138 Wooster Street— a stone's throw from the new 4,769-square-foot Balenciaga flagship under construction at 148 Mercer Street, which is expected to debut next year. Balenciaga's existing NYC flagship in Chelsea has been closed for damage control since Hurricane Sandy last month. There's no word yet on when the outpost will re-open. Alas, chic must go on. The seasonal store has launched in Soho with Pre-Spring 2013, Fall 2012 men's and women's, and a slew of Spring/Summer capsule lines on rack. Plus, footwear, handbags, and leather goods galore. Merry, merry!
