Announcing Louis Vuitton’s “It” Girls
Louis Vuitton SS 2011 Jewelry View Gallery
(PARIS) Fresh for Spring/Summer 2011, Louis Vuitton has created a playful and flirty fashion jewelry collection inspired by sixteen “It” girls from around the globe. A behind the scenes video was released yesterday featuring rock 'n roll royalty Alexandra Richards, posing alongside fashion muse Annabelle Dexter Jones and aristocratic stylist Mary Charteris. Shot in Paris, there is a strong contingent of French talent, with singers Alka Balbir and Mohini Geisweiller, DJette Clara 3000, and French-Canadian TV presenter and model Charlotte Lebon. The campaign also stars actresses Hailey Gates, Lina Esco, Nathalie Love and Rinko Kikuchi.
The jewelry pieces were inspired by Art Deco flair and 1960s colors, using acrylic-set ornaments, paste jewels, and pearl beading, to make up four different lines: Damier Perle, Eye Candy, Cosmopolitan, and Cocktail Tropical. The black-fringed drop earrings, the only jewelry shown during the Spring/Summer 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection, are also included. The Spring/Summer 2011 fashion jewelry collection will hit stores by mid-February.
