Andrea Linett Joins Michael Kors
(NEW YORK) Andrea Linett has decamped from eBay Fashion, where she served as creative director the past year, to set up an office at Michael Kors' headquarters. Starting today, she will take over as VP and global creative director, reporting directly to Michael Kors and Jill Fishman, senior VP of e-commerce, licensing, and direct marketing at the company. Linett's new daily duties? Overseeing the thread of consistency between all MK brands from the digital sphere to the global market.
Linett is most widely known for co-founding Lucky and serving as its creative director for nearly ten years, starting with its December 2000 launch. Prior to Lucky, the executive créatif held positions as writer and editor at Harper's Bazaar and the now defunct, cult-classic Sassy. She also co-wrote The Lucky Shopping Manual and The Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Style.
On December 15, Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. went public on the New York Stock Exchange, selling 47.2 million shares for $20 apiece and valuing the company at $3.8 billion.
