Aerin Lauder Gets Accessorized
(NEW YORK) After debuting a spate of makeup selections in September, Aerin Lauder is adding accoutrements to the mix for her Aerin line: baubles by Erickson Beamon and shades by Oliver Peoples. The latest wearables from Estée's granddaughter will be released at the start of 2013.
The jewelry collection spans the gamut from cocktail rings to collar necklaces, clocking in between 50 and 60 pieces total, and ringing in at the register at $150 to $1,000. As for the specs, Oliver Peoples for Aerin sunnies will be offered in a single silhouette (generously proportioned and squarish) and three takes on tortoiseshell, at a price point of $340 in retailers such as Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf's, and freestanding Oliver Peoples boutiques.
Lauder first announced the founding of her namesake label last spring, stepping down from her role as SVP and creative director at family brand Estee Lauder in the process. Concurrent with the launch of Lauder's neutrals-focused, easily wearable glosses and shadows for the visage, Aerin LLC revealed plans for a shoe line produced by Jimlar Corp., which manufactures for the likes of Calvin Klein and Coach. The 15 styles of Aerin kicks are launching come spring as well, and will range from $179 to $400.
