A Rizzoli for Matthew
(NEW YORK) Fans of Matthew Williamson, your coffee table is missing one crucial book. This fall, Rizzoli will release its latest fashion tome, Matthew Williamson. Written by Colin McDowell, revered British fashion figure and the founder and creative director of Fashion Fringe at Covent Garden, the book also features an introduction by Williamson himself as well as a written cameo by one of Matthew’s many famous friends, Sienna Miller. “When I step into one of Matthew’s dresses I feel like I am stepping into his world,” writes Miller in the foreword, “which is colourful, ethereal and dreamlike.”
The 256-page hardcover features 200 color and black and white images as well as chapter openings by the likes of British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and Matthew Williamson partner and CEO Joseph Velosa. Matthew Williamson by Colin McDowell, Rizzoli 2010, will hit stores in October. Expect a party during London Fashion Week!
