A Moment With...Christine Staub
(NEW YORK) After appearing on the cover of The Daily last September---and showing the world how the entire experience unfolded on last week's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey---budding model (and teenage daughter of the show's star Danielle Staub) Christine Staub caught up with The Daily yet again.
What have you been up to since your photo shoot with The Daily?
Since the photo shoot I’ve been focusing more on school and track. I’m only going to be in high school for four years, and I want to make the most of it.
What was it like to see yourself on the cover, and then on television?
It’s really weird when you see on the television show and then on the cover, because you never expected yourself to be on a cover. You see models in magazines your whole life, but you never think it will be you one day! Being photographed for a cover is the highest form of compliment. But it does take a little getting used to, at first.
Does it feel normal now?
I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing my picture on a cover!
Any favorite models?
There isn’t a model in particular, because all of them are so gorgeous in their own way.
What about designers?
I really like the clean, simple, all-American look, so some of my favorites are Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and I also love Marc Jacobs.
Who have you met in the fashion industry that impressed you?
That’s a really hard question to answer, because everyone is so unique that it amazes me. It would be impossible to pinpoint just one!
Did you follow the shows this past season?
I didn’t go to any shows this last season, but I watched them online and I really loved the Marc Jacobs show. And I love Betsey Johnson. She’s always so much fun.
What have you learned since your first photo shoot?
I’ve grown so much as a person and as a model. I think you really learn to be confident and you also learn that modeling is difficult work!
What are your goals?
I’m trying to get myself out there and make a name for myself. I try to always stay in the moment because that is so important.
Other than fashion and modeling, what are your favorite hobbies and school subjects?
I love track, and I do distance and cross country. I’m busy all the time with school, especially. Science is probably my favorite subject, because it’s really interesting and it just seems to click with me.
