MaxMara - Milan Fall 2009
Now this is a house you can depend on--more this season than ever. For Fall, MaxMara looked to its own past and trotted out achingly sumptuous coats and jackets in a wealth of permutations. The delicious palette--buttery camel, warm mocha and lipstick red--made them all the more appealing. As for the fabrics? Start with cashmere, and then upscale. Silk and leather separates occasionally intervened, but then the black story was presented, and the buyers started scribbling.
