Pollini - Milan Fall 2009
(MILAN) Jonathan Saunders' second collection at Pollini began, and ended, with a decorative scroll, which appeared as a Dalí-esque heel in the first looks and an appliquéd print on the final one. The vaguely military theme carried over to a brass-buttoned jacket, a baroque ruffled-sleeve blouse and, yes, second-skin pants. There were plenty of separates, especially in a series of cerulean blue, which served as a welcome counterpoint to the more trend-driven scroll print.
