Bottega Veneta - Resort 2009
(NEW YORK) For Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2009 collection, Tomas Maier gave women a taste of some very tropical fruit. Orange and blue zig zags and houndstooth prints recalled a picnic in the park. A twist of lime in a number of dresses added punch to the collection, which also included a hefty amount of neutral combinations with black, white, navy, beige and cerulean. Stand-out pieces were an ink blue leather trench and a high-waisted red leather skirt. Maier played with proportion, introducing draped dresses, oversized jackets and wide-leg pants. True to the brand’s reputation for incredible accessories, bags and shoes were knockouts, with a colorful satchel causing a wait list at first sight.
