Chic Report: Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were having a torrid affair with some plaid-mad, old-school Windsor this season, specifically Stephen Frears's The Queen. Multicolored plaids in chiffon, silk, and wool were worn with ruffle-front blouses, swingy, knee-length dresses, and argyle twin sets. “Very Stella Tennant does Duchess of Devonshire,” said Elle’s Kate Lanphear. “And I loved the new Wellies in orange patent--does it get more adorably witty?”
