Chic Report: This season, Christopher Bailey was loving the bundled-up characters featured in British painter L.S. Lowry’s colorful, wintry, street scenes--which translated into some of the chicest pieces we’ve seen all season! Pea coats--in gunmetal, coffee, and a military-inspired navy version--had a major moment, as did the rich metallics, which appeared in a pair of genius, slim-fitting gold trousers, a puff-sleeved bronze frock, and a gilded, shingled, drop-waist dress that emerged to a collective swoon. “This show just made me happy,” gushed Elle’s Robbie Myers. Mario Testino agreed, saying, “What better compliment for a designer than to know he put the audience in a good mood?”
