Chic Report: Ferretti's fall collection was like a peek into some precious jewelry box, with gem-toned satin, silk, and velvet richly gleaming down the runway in emerald, amber, and amethyst hues. The silhouettes were stunning, from the roomy emerald shift dress to the ruched, pink-and-purple cocktail number (beyond slinky!)--but the standout look was a dramatic-collared evening coat in glossy amethyst and plum. And the pieces were just as lovely coming as they were going, with touches of accordion pleating and delicate draping at the back. "Very feminine, with beautiful fabrics and volume," said Vogue Italia's Franca Sozzani. "This show was very Alberta!"
