Giorgio Armani - Pre-Fall 2008
(NEW YORK) For his Pre-Fall 2008 collection, Giorgio Armani presented classic tailoring and fabrications with a twist. Looks were simultaneously feminine and androgynous with wide-leg trousers and detailed blazers and jackets serving as the focal point. Suits and separates with varying widths and lengths were fit for working professionals with an edge. Wool houndstooth, plaid, and stripes fused traditional fabrications with a modern aesthetic. Armani paid homage to Ziggy Stardust with a glistening wide-leg suit while modified argyle sweaters with a diamond-stitched pattern were pure sexy prep. Black, white, and other neutrals dominated the color palette with cherry red, acid green, and lilac brightening things up.
