Chick by Nicky Hilton - L.A. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2008
(LOS ANGELES) After showing Nicholai in New York, Nicky Hilton made her way to L.A. to show off Chick, her younger line. The collection was a slice of all-American apple pie. The fruit was translated quite literally onto the runway with a scattering of black apples thrown into the crimson apple-dominated prints--a mix of sweet and innocent and slightly sexy and provocative. Designs had a Snow White flair with exaggerated collars and baby doll cuts. Red dominated the runway, from red tops and skirts to red accessories: headbands, bags, and thin belts. High-waisted sailor pants strutted next to simple girly T-shirt dresses. It seems Hilton is comfortable in her own Louboutins; the designer donned a white dress with a blue high-heel print as she took her bow and was presented with a bouquet of roses from beau David Katzenberg. Big sis Paris missed the show, but her parents Rick and Kathy beamed from the front-row.
