Moschino Cheap & Chic - Milan Fashion Week Spring 2008
(MILAN) Moschino Cheap & Chic's Spring 2008 collection was for the young at heart. Bright prints in florals, polka dots, swirls, and graffiti relied on a varied color palette that included shades of olive, blue, yellow, red, grey, black, and white. Ruffles and bows stayed true to Moschino’s feminine roots, while the school girl look was reinterpreted with high-waisted skirts, sheer button-downs, and puckering. An interesting take on the pirate look came with a red and white striped puffy cinched dress; a smiley face T-shirt and dress and looks with female heads sketched onto them were nods of artistic whimsy. Things got dressier with sequined pieces, taking the sporty collection into night with dance club attire.-
