Carolina On Madison...Again
(NEW YORK) Carolina Herrera's flagship boutique at 954 Madison Avenue has long been a destination for the best-dressed far beyond the Upper East Side, and now, those coveting her lower-priced CH Carolina Herrera wares will have a nearby address all their own. Herrera has signed a lease on a 2,300 square-foot space located at 802 Madison Avenue between 67th and 68th Streets in the storefront formerly occupied by Issey Miyake. It is expected to open in May or June.
CH plans to open 25 stores worldwide in 2010, including 10 in the United States in locations such as San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles. Until now, the brand's retail strategy has focused primarily on shopping centers such as Americana Manhasset in New York, The Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, The Galleria in Houston, and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. The Manhattan outpost marks the first time that CH will appear as a street store. Expect all product categories, ranging from baby to athletic shoes, to be represented.
