More Executive Moves at Richemont

Comments | | Print

(NEW YORK) After months of speculation--and Friday's appointment of Johann Rupert as CEO of Compagnie Financiere Richemont, effective next April--expect more executive moves to be made imminently. Emmanuel Perrin is anticpated to fill the top North American spot at Cartier soon, The Daily has learned. Perrin currently serves as president and CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels; he is expected to be named chairman and CEO of Cartier North America, a position vacated by Frédéric de Narp in September 2009.

Perrin's tenure at VCA, which he joined in 2005, was only the most recent appointment in his career at Richemont. Perrin joined the company in 1992 and has held several senior positions in retail, wholesale and country management in Europe and Asia. Prior to his most recent position, he served as CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels Japan. Cartier representatives were unable to comment on this development.
